Today I was watching for a bit as Jim was helping rebuild a bridge that goes over a creek for his mom. They had the side rails torn off when I was there but the bridge was still up. The Lord was showing me that He is our bridge to get from one experience to another, and if He is the bridge that we literally stand on then it doesn’t matter if there are rails or not. We don’t need anything else to hold on to. He gets us where He needs us to go. IF, if, if, we are going where He needs us to go. Back to Him being our vision. I was also reminded recently about a quote that I heard Steven Hill say many times, he might have heard it somewhere else, I don’t really know who the credit goes to, but it went like this. "Is what you’re living for worth dying for?" Is it? Did what you do today count for anything? Did you share His Word, show His love, serve His people, or worship Him today? If not we need to rearrange our priorities.

Ok, now for the intense part. Through a series of events the Lord has also be showing me that the territorial spirits that reign in our community are watching us. Nothing new. Same ones that caused us so much trouble years back. But hopefully we have learned a little through the years. This might seem a little rambling but follow me here, there is a point. Way back when President Clinton was elected I asked the Lord why. I knew that it was God’s plan to bless His people and this man did not stand for biblical values. I have no personal dislike for this man but I think we can all agree there is little Christian fruit in his lifestyle. So I asked the Lord, why? He said that He was giving America what she was asking for. I certainly couldn’t argue with that one. We all know all the political things that have happened since then and we can all agree that we all pray for our leaders more now than ever. I said all that to say that God puts leaders in places for His reasons. And He always has a reason. And that means physical human leaders as well as spiritual leaders. Angels and demons. He controls them all. There are controlling spirits over areas for a reason and as long as they are fed they will stay that way. WE are not anointed to pick fights with them for the fun of it! The Word tells us to respect their power and position. Yes we serve a risen King and yes HE is all-powerful, but He has a plan here. A plan for a pure and spotless bride! When God Himself had Babylon overtake Jerusalem HE HAD A PLAN!!!

So, what does all this mean? This message is not just for my family, He has me sharing it with you. The Lord has a purpose; the battlelines have been drawn. Only He crosses those lines. He is saying, "Stay inside the lines!!" "Respect authority." "You are being watched, they are waiting for you to slip up, but fear not for I am your bridge, keep your eyes on me!" Beware of a mocking spirit, it causes us to react in the flesh and if the enemy can get us in the flesh then he has us. We must remain in the Spirit. We must keep our eyes on Jesus. We must stand up for righteousness but in His way, not ours. For His sake, not ours. So I ask again, "Is what you’re living for worth dying for?" In Noah’s day there were a bunch of good ole boys doing good ole things. But they weren’t God furthering things. The ark door shut without them even seeing the warning signs because they were so wrapped up in themselves. The enemy is on the prowl. His days are short. Who are you serving?
