This has certainly been a busy month, we are preparing for our upcoming event, "Fire And Glory", and busy keeping up with all the requests for "Love Songs to A Savior". The seasons here in TN are changing but you know the vision is the same. Bringing people to Jesus, showing them how much He loves them, teaching them how to live in that love, how to just submit and dwell in it. Can you catch the vision of a lost orphan, (at least they thought they were an orphan) and actually being the one to introduce them to a Loving Father who has been calling for them? To be the one who sees their face as they realize they never were an orphan at all, and to see the experience of them collapsing in HIS arms? Face to face with what they have been searching for all their life. We have a good job, a good life. He is faithful. We have also been busy seeing the GLORY in our own lives, it has to stay a daily thing. Recently while in some real travailing prayer for a family in need of a miracle, the Lord gave Beau a vision that showed fruit would come from the experience, a double portion of fruit. Without that vision we might have experienced some real discouragement, because things don’t always turn out like WE think they should, but it isn’t about what We think. It is about what HE wants. And when we seek HIM, He will sustain us. And He has, over and over again. I am in awe at what He has done in our children. We have experienced things that only Jesus could have manifested, and there is only one answer to a tough situation. Submission. Total submission to God. To be able to say, "Lord I don’t get it but I know you do". To realize that His ways are higher than our ways, His laws are higher than our laws. True freedom is freedom from your self. Knowing how mighty HE is brings freedom. So how do you submit to God, really submit? Well what has He been speaking to you about? What has He been saying that makes you want to respond with, "but, but God, you don’t understand". Submission means no arguing, no stating your case, no doubt, no better suggestions, just a simple, "yes sir". And then mean it. He says forgive. So forgive. He doesn’t leave any room for arguments. He says love, He means love. He says put Him first. He says speak right, live right, be holy. When He shows you something, JUST DO IT!!! Give in, give up, lay down at His feet!! I promise you He knows more than you do. And He will never contradict His Word. Know His word so that you know His character. You know you can’t be happy and arguing at the same time. True freedom will come when you give in. Why do we always think we have a better idea? Worship Him, know Him, and become like Him. You will see things change around you. Don’t give the enemy credit, Jesus is in control. Now for the clincher. The opposite of submission is .......REBELLION. And if you are showing signs of rebellion you are acting like ...who? Jim often preaches to the inmates a (always new version) message called, "Who’s Yo Daddy". In other words, who are you submitted to, who do you follow, who do you act like? I ask you the same question, who are you submitted to, who do you follow, who do you act like? Submission or rebellion? You know in America it is socially acceptable to be rebellious, it is considered normal among some. We now have a son 13 and a daughter 14, and some unknowing people want to call them "teenagers". Yet I consider that a curse and rebuke it every time. What does that word mean to you? It gives a picture of rebellion, someone who purposely wants to be the opposite of their parents. Now does that sound good? Is that what we want our children to be? How about if I wanted to be the opposite of my Father? What are we teaching? What a warped country we live in. And Jesus will let it continue until we seek Him, and proclaim His ways. Speak the truth, don’t just give in to the norm. Be like your Father. HE is YOUR Father isn’t He? He is mine.
