Dear Friends,
What is your assignment? Our assignment from
God, changes from time to time, for some people daily. Now we all should have
a vision, a purpose, but what about a daily assignment? Or even a momentary
assignment? As a family and also as a ministry team, we gather each morning,
we study the word and compare dreams, we have lots of prophetic dreams. We
discuss our plans for the day, and prepare our direction. One
recent morning Jim shared about assignments, the reason why we go where the
Lord tells us to go. Have you ever felt like you were supposed to do something
but didn’t know why? Go somewhere but you didn’t know why? Well if it’s coming
from Jesus there is always a reason why. We have learned to look for "the
assignment". Jesus may be sending you a different direction, down a different
road to a different place, it might not make sense to you but
He always has a purpose, we just have to look for it. Get in tune with HIS
SPIRIT. Let me give you some examples, there are two songs
that the Lord has really use to speak to me about this
recently. One is about "getting dirty", not staying in our safe little Holy
surroundings, but actually get out there and get amongst the ones who so
desperately need Jesus. The other one is about "if we are the body, why aren’t
His hands healing, why aren’t His arms reaching, why aren’t His words
teaching?" The answer is because He chooses to work through us, and we are
just plain selfish most of the time!! We are too busy doing what
we want to do! Staying in our cozy little box, while the
world around us searches and hungers for the truth. It is time to develop HIS
EYES for the circumstances around us. I promise if you ask Jesus HE WILL show
you an assignment each and every day. He will show you a particular need to
pray for, or give you a word to speak, or simply a deed that has HIS anointing
on it. And there will be fruit because it will be HIS idea. And it may sound
foolish to you. But if you are one of His children, and if you are worshipping
Him so that you know HIS voice, then LISTEN UP!! And
OBEY!!You know if Simeon and Anna hadn’t been in just the right place
at just the right time they would have missed the news of the Christ child!
They were old, they could have had a million excuses to not show up at their
appointed time, but they were faithful. Look through your word and see how
things could have changed if our forefathers had used our same excuses. Get
your assignment today!!! Have your ears open, and be ready for that
opportunity Jesus will put before you. To have HIM working through YOU is the
biggest blessing there is!

putting together a meeting for Nov 21, Friday night at the Richland Inn

JAILS, PRISON- The Lord has really had an
assignment for Jim here recently. Jesus shows us the ones to "zero in on" .
There are always those that He places there. You know HE does public relations
better than anyone. No advance advertising necessary. Jesus calls them. He
always knows just who to call. This past few months HE has especially been
working on the hearts of those who have committed murder. You know murders
have families? Children, wives, mothers. Now don’t get
self-righteous, if you have ever hated or thought badly of
someone, you too have committed murder in your heart. But here I am talking
about those who have carried it out and are now serving time. They are right
where Jesus wants them, and many times they have families who
are praying for them, and those prayers are being answered. Guys who
have committed violent crimes, most behind bars for life, are now weeping at
the feet of Jesus! That is one appointment we wouldn’t miss for
anything!! It is real, they have no need to impress anyone. Especially in our
local area, if hear the news and it involves a homicide, START PRAYING FOR THE
ONE ACCUSED!! It is only a matter of time before they run into "Jumpin Jim".
Pray for their hearts to soften, and for Jesus to pave the way for salvation.
We have also seen an increase of the gifts being displayed, the inmates are
now really experiencing dreams and visions. We even heard this past week of
one of the guys having a vision of something that was exactly the same as one
of our children a few days earlier. Of course they had no idea. Jesus at work.
Also another testimony of Jim praying with an inmate for his family at 8 pm
one evening. the next day the guy talked to his mother on the phone,
and she described how at 8pm the night before she could actually FEEL JESUS in
her house, she could FEEL HIS PEACE!! Now for anyone who might be
doubting this, ONLY JESUS brings that kind of peace. I tell you the believers
behind bars are experiencing more freedom that most church-goers.
RADIO TUES NIGHTS 6PM- WMRB 910 AM- Lots of
guests and testimonies lately of how Jesus is at work in our community!
FAMILY FRUIT- Teaching our children the intimacy of Christ!!
Everything else is secondary. More songs, more love, more Jesus! The Lord is
adding to their worship ministry. And Beau has been blessed to minister with
Jim a lot more recently, Jim can hardly wait till he is old enough to go into
some of the places with security clearance. But Jesus knows they are "old
enough’ now, they get their assignments! Even little Mercy knows how to
worship!
LOVE SONGS TO A
SAVIOR, April’s worship CD has gone out all over the
world, I think about
100 copies so far! We are hoping for the next one to be more professionally
packaged and with more instruments, this one is "just a taste" of the worship
in our home. We are blessed to give these out free, if you don’t have one yet,
just ask!
HOMEMEETINGS, OUTREACH CENTERS, COWBOYS FOR
CHRIST-We continue to minister in these places and more, always open
for that "assignment"
IN CLOSING- Thank you all for honoring "the
assignment" in supporting us both in prayer and gifts. Just recently we were
so blessed to have someone call us "missionaries" to this area, something we
have always felt. Jesus is good and speaks to all. we love Him and
