June 2006 Volume 9 Number 6
Dearest Friends,
Wow, all of a sudden it is summer! I know I am behind on these newsletters so don’t be too surprised when I catch up and you get two in one month! Seems like there is always a lot going on. Our phone constantly rings and there is always something to do. Our home has always been a ministry school and we share it as the Lord leads. We no longer have just "little children" but also young adults. Our oldest daughter April graduated homeschool highschool this year, I will share more about that in a bit and how you can join us in celebrating. Our children are being trained for ministry and it has been a "hands on" training from the beginning. Not just "this little light of mine" ministry either, but the real thing. The Word says that His servants are a "flame of fire". To me that sounds different than having a little light.
We believe that the Gospel is real and changes lives. We also believe that as we live out our walk with Jesus that we are a threat to the kingdom of darkness. Not intentionally. It is just that when you are surrendered to furthering the Kingdom of God you are automatically a threat to the enemy. But we have to keep it in perspective. Especially in the charismatic movement there are some who arise every morning thinking of ways to revile the enemy without even realizing they are working for him. To be sidetracked into focusing on the enemy is doing is truly being sidetracked by him. That is why the Word warns against it in Jude verses 8-10 "In the very same way, these dreamers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings. But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" Yet these men speak abusively against whatever they do not understand; and what things they do understand by instinct, like unreasoning animals—these are the very things that destroy them." We are further told in Luke 10:20 to not even bother getting excited about the fact that we have authority to cast out demons, but rather to be excited about the fact that Jesus knows us.
Yet the more excited we get about Jesus the more of a threat we are to the enemy. Every time one of my children gets in a car with some one else I remind the driver that there is a "hit list" out on our family. If you are walking right with the Lord there is one out on you too. Even hanging out with Jesus makes you a target. Take the kingdoms seriously, and have respect for both of them. But it isn’t really those obvious things that get you, it is those subtle parasites that can take down giants in the faith. Parasites like bitterness, unforgiveness, pride, envy, strife, jealousy. Once a parasite has weakened a body it is even more susceptible to disease, diseases like cancers of hatred, murder, and adultery. Disease untreated leads to death. Spiritual diseases are lots more deadly than physical diseases. Spiritual diseases kill twice. How do we combat this plague? The best way is to prevent it to begin with. One of the biggest advancements in modern medicine is when doctors learned about cleanliness. When doctors began to wash their hands the spread of disease was greatly diminished. Of course the Jewish doctors knew this and that is why Jewish doctors were so successful early on. Why did Jewish doctors know this? Because it is WORD!!!! Yet today we take things like Old Testament cleanliness and call it legalism. We want to throw all those rules out and say we aren’t under the law. Well I have news for the church. DADDY KNOWS WHAT IS BEST FOR HIS CHILDREN!! And if it is in the Word there is a reason for it! Everything physical in the Old Testament has spiritual implications for today. If we can learn to wash ourselves spiritually in the same way that the Old Testament priests did physically then we stay free from parasites. If we can learn to feed ourselves clean food spiritually like the Old Testament taught us to do physically then we would stay free from disease. If we could throw spiritual leprosy outside the camp the way they threw physical leprosy outside the camp then we would stay pure!! And so on and so on!
Galations 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

TRUE WORSHIP- April Raine -
For several years when we had special events or would minister other places we would have others come and lead worship. We appreciated them greatly but we really prayed that the Lord would provide some one who would commit to ministering with us regularly. That prayer was answered in the form of our oldest daughter. The Lord has given her the gift of leading others into His presence. Of course giftings never come without a price and no one but us really knows the price she pays. Trust me, it is high. But she does it because she loves Him so much that the thought of others not experiencing what she experiences it too much to bear. So she selflessly perseveres through much persecution. But God is good. She usually plays guitar during worship but what few people know is that she is also very gifted on the piano. She graduated this year and as a gift we would like to give her a portable digital piano keyboard. But this gift is not supposed to be from her family here only, rather it is to be from the Body of Christ family. You get to be a part if you want. She is still wanting to put out another CD to bless y’all with and who knows maybe this is part of it. We have left it in His hands. If you would like to contribute to this you can contact me, or send something by mail or paypal, you can find that info here www.awesomeglory.com/give.
