As with all experiences I have been asking the Lord to speak to me through this one. He is reminding of how important inheritance is in His Word. Just reading through Genesis gives us a pretty good picture of the importance of inheritance. Living in South I have a greater appreciation for biblical inheritance than when I lived in California. Here land is passed down from one generation to another, the same way it is in the Old Testament. It creates more of a sense of family and security, stability. What a thought for a young married couple to start their marriage with a home that has no mortgage. That is the way it is supposed to be. Then there is less stress, less debt, less divorce, less heartache, less rat-race. Yet in America we see $80 thousand dollar travel trailers with bumper stickers that say, "I'm spending my children's inheritance!". What a selfish world we live in.

     As usual the physical world is a mere reflection of the Spiritual state of America. It is all about me, me, me. What can I get for me? It is all about what pleases me now ... sin is pleasurable for a season. What kind of inheritance are we leaving for our children? And are we missing the whole point of our Spiritual inheritance? What is our Spiritual inheritance? Love, Joy, and Peace in the Holy Ghost. Yet we just let the enemy steal it from us because we don't recognize the importance and value. I think we need some change.
