Dearest Friends, I have recently been noticing changes in our
society. Things that I was taught growing up don't seem to apply with most
people today. My parents might not have said, "it's in the bible" but they
taught us biblical truths. Growing up in America used to mean you had at least
some good morals and maybe some manners. Well times have changed. That to me is
the most evident truth that we are in the last days. People don't act decent
anymore and they sure don't treat one another with respect. Used to be that the
South was known for "Southern Hospitality", well the south is certainly not
hospitable anymore, many times they are downright rude. I have really been
pondering on this and asking the Lord about it. People lie so much that they
don't know what the truth is anymore. I have been asked for my receipt upon
leaving a local "superstore" so many times that I finally asked one of those
"greeters" , "do I look like a common criminal?" Everybody these days is
assumed guilty unless proven innocent. Used to be the other way around. People
quote what they think is the law not even having a clue what the law really is.
The book of Amos (5:13) says, "the times are evil". (That's right before it says
a whole bunch of other stuff that is directly pertinent for today.) And it seems
to be getting worse. 2 Corinthians 4:4 says, "The god of this age has
blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the
Gospel of the Glory of Christ, who is the image of God." America was founded on
biblical principals but she is going downhill fast. There are few places where
biblical principles are taught anymore. What is being taught now days is
blinding the people. Our thinking affects society and that affects the work for
the Kingdom of God. We were recently watching some videos on biblical creation,
and how believing in evolution has had great affects on society. Do
you believe that God created the world and you in His image? Or did we come from
rock? It was easy for Hitler to justify killing all those Jews because he didn't
believe God created them, he believed wrong and it affected society. It is easy
for millions to kill their own babies because they don't believe lives are
a miracle from God. God alone has the power to breath life into a body, yet many
think it is their own doing so they can easily "undo it". That
thinking affects society. And as people hang around wrong thinking they get
blinder and blinder to the Glory of Christ. What a revelation, Psalms 1 is
true. Have you ever tried to share Jesus with someone who has been so
brainwashed by some cult that they can't see the truth anymore? You say Jesus
and they say Jesus but you aren't both talking about the one and only son of
God. And going back to evolution, remember when they used to properly say, "the
THEORY of evolution"? We have taken the theory part out and now say it as a
proven fact, yet there is no proof. However there is plenty of proof that
God creates, gaze into the face of a child. What are we teaching? What are we
learning? And who are we learning it from? People that know the truth? The Bible
is truth yet even that is so often misquoted and nobody notices. I feel an
urgency in the Spirit, for many the ark door is about to shut, the blindness is
getting darker and darker, pretty soon they will no longer be able to discern
the Glory of Christ around them. In America the enemy has been able with our
help to indoctrinate millions of children with the thought of "esteeming
themselves". And it has even affected the older generation. I was shopping the
other day and there was this older woman helping me, as I would choose an item
she would sigh heavily like I was a real bother. What happened to customer
service? What happened to manners, what happened to being kind to one another?
Well she, like most, was only thinking of herself. It was really shocking
because I usually really enjoy older people, at least they were raised in a time
when people told the truth. But nope, not anymore, they also have succumbed to
what is around them. So I say all that to say, what kind of teaching have you
been listening to? The kind that would make you lay down your life for a friend?
(John 15:13) The kind that would have you become a "servant to all"? (Mark 9:35)
Or the kind that puts you right up there with God? And what are you sharing with
others around you? When was the last time you heard somebody actually say out
loud that "All have sinned and come short to the Glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
Usually these days we are too busy just patting them on the back and saying
"it's ok". We lie to them instead of really loving them. And if you quote that
verse in church people say you are condemning them. Truth is truth, a sinner is
a sinner, and he can't receive forgiveness until he admits that he is a sinner,
but then that probably isn't politically correct to say anymore. Ohhh but the
Glory of Christ is sooo worth it all. Love them enough to tell the truth. It is
time to get to work and stand up, I do believe a bigger storm is coming, and it
won't be the kind that calls on FEMA.
TheWellTN.com - is the new
site for our local church. The Well. Our main focus in overtaking the world is
the same way Jeshosephat did it, worship. Worship brings heaven to earth and
then hell doesn't stand a chance. The demonic realm loses it's grip when the
full Glory of Christ shows up. People don't even know why they are repenting
except that all of a sudden their flesh is exposed in comparison to His Glory.
If you are willing to be transformed into more of Him then worship is your
answer. Last Thursday the Lord gave me a revelation and a Word for our
community. Acts 2:41 tells us referring to the day of Pentecost, "Those who
accepted his message were baptized and about 3000 were added to their number
that day". The Holy Ghost fell on them that day, HE SHOWED UP AND PEOPLE WERE
CHANGED!! Three thousand saved in ONE DAY!! Do you know what the population of
this small town of Mt Pleasant is? approx 3000!!!!! It is coming! Seeing our
whole community saved and serving Him! All we have to do is what they did in the
upper room, worship!!
THIS MONTHS REVIEW-this really should have been on last months news, but anyway, here it is. "LIFESONG" by casting crowns. To hear a preview, click on the picture at left, or go to the resources page. This cd was recorded awhile ago and released on the Tues after hurricane Katrina hit. There are a lot of great songs on it and as usual with Casting Crowns they are very timely. But the one that hit home was "Praise You in this Storm". I will give you a few lines of lyrics. "I was sure by now, that you would have reached down, and wiped our tears away, stepped in and saved the day, but once again I say "Amen" and it's still raining.........I'll praise you in this storm, and I will lift my hands, for You are who You are, no matter where I am, every tear I've cried, you hold in your hand, you never left my side, and though my heart is torn, I will praise you in this storm...." and then it goes into Psalms 121 which is one of our favorites, our Hannah used to sing this every day for our family gathering time back when she was about 5, "I lift my eyes unto the hills, where does my help come from, my help comes from the Lord, the maker of Heaven and Earth". I hurt for the people going through personal storms yet I also envy them because I know that when we are weakest, He is strongest. There is nothing on this earth that compares to His Presence.
MAURY COUNTY JAIL AND CLIFTON STATE PRISON- REVIVAL continues!! These guys are "getting it" if you have it you know what I mean. One of the inmates asked for prayer and a personal visit for a family member in the hospital, Jim and Ed went right after the jail service. The man had been totally unresponsive but when the Spirit of God showed he responded. The jail ministry is actually going outside of the jail cell as these men learn faith in a living way!
